Welcome to my Blog!
Hello everyone and welcome to my Blog!
On this Blog i want to share with you some Information about filming locations used in the TV Series Alex Rider.
Some details about me personally. My name is Timo I'am 22 years old from southern Germany. I discovered the TV Series and the Alex Rider universe through the release of Season 1 in summer 2020. I bingewatched the whole season in one night and was hooked by it. For me Season 1 was the best newcomer TV Series of 2020.
For some time iam also interested in locations where movies/TV Series were shot. I find it interesting to see how places look like on TV compared to reality. As i got some geolocating skills with previous locations i found i decided to start this Blog and give you an overview of Locations they used for the TV Series Alex Rider.
In the future i also think about visiting some of these Locations in reality. As Covid is still around i cant tell when these plans will become reality.
English is not my native language so please forgive any grammar errors.
Thank you and i hope you find the content of this Blog interesting.
Feel free to get in touch with me through comments or via mail alexriderlocations@online.de

Hi Timo, are you able to find where the scene where Alex got hit by the delivery truck and then kidnapped? I appreciate your work.
ReplyDeleteHello FJB! Yes i know the Location it was nearly right in front of his house at the Crossing Fort Rd, Reverdy Rd. The exact Coordinates are 51.491128042168924, -0.07024314978249226. Alex drives with his bike south on Longley St, says there goodbye to Tom and then countinues his way through Thorburn Square to Ford Rd.
DeleteThanks for the info. I took a closer look on Google map and it makes sense. I'm assuming the bike ride in Episode 1 Season 1 to and from the party went by St Anne's Church?
DeleteYes thats correct! The House the party was in is also somewhere around the church but as it was dark i didnt search for the exact location. Iam currently planning a trip to London this summer so hopefully i can then take some better pictures of the area. It all depends on the covid sitation.
DeleteJust curious. Were you able to travel to London this past summer?
DeleteHey FJB! Yes i was in London but that was more of an unplanned event due to a delayed flight on my trip to Athens and for less then 24 hours. No time to explore anything. Its still on my List however! Still hoping for an official Season 3 announcement soon as since Season 2 it became quiet around the show, unfortunately.
DeleteWell, season 3 is being filmed now. The filming started in October and is supposed to run for 6 months. They did some filming in Cardiff and are now in Gloucester in December.

DeleteAhh, that's cool, well then we won't see the new episode before 2024, but it's cool that things are moving again! Thanks for the Links, very interesting!
DeleteI have a feeling we may see Season 3's release around December 2023. Post productions of the previous 2 seasons took around 6 months. If filming for Season 3 finishes around April, then November would be 6 months away from that. Since they synchronized worldwide release of Season 2 in December, I can see them aiming for that month which would be consistent release date for all 3 seasons, well at least in the US at least. We can always hope right?
DeleteWell, that would be amazing! Let's hope for the best and a release this year!
